Public Works Maintenance Worker. Under general supervision, performs a wide variety of complex semi-skilled and skilled manual work and in the operation of light, medium and heavy equipment, machinery and tools used in maintenance, construction and repair of the City’s infrastructure, facilities and parks including but not limited to highways, roads, bridges, streets, curbs, sidewalks, buildings and other city-owned properties. Pre-Employment Drug Testing

Drug testing is mandatory for all full, part-time or temporary paid positions as a condition of employment.  The City will pay for the cost of this test as part of any conditional offer for employment.

Volunteer Opportunities

Vacant Council Seat - An exciting opportunity exists for a resident of Central City who wishes to serve on the Central City Council. Letters of Interest are being accepted for the vacant seat with the term ending December 31, 2022. As the current City Council wishes to advance the community’s priorities, they seek a forward-thinking individual who is willing to contribute the necessary time and energy to assist the current Council in achieving their goals for the City. Letters should include a list of experiences and why you wish to serve in this capacity. Such letters should be addressed to the Central City Council, c/o Reba Bechtel, City Clerk, P.O.
